2018/2019 Enrollment Now Open
We are currently accepting applications for new enrolments for the 2018/2019 academic year. We are at or near capacity for certain grade levels. We encourage prospective families to initiate the application process as soon as possible to ensure adequate time for us to review the application forms and arrange for a student visit prior to the end of May 2018.
Attend a Special Event
Our Admission Events for prospective parents and students interested in enrollment for the 2018/2019 academic year were held between February and April 2018. We have no additional events planned.
Arrange a Private Tour
We invite you to contact us to make making individual arrangements that best suit the needs of you and your family.

If you are interested in Primary through to Grade 12 please contact us to arrange a private tour and/or student visit with our Academic Director, Margot Louise, or our Executive Director, Carolyn Mandelker.
2018/2019 Admissions PRocess
1. Initial Contact
Please feel free to contact us with your initial questions and to obtain information about our programs. We encourage parents to attend Information Nights to view our classroom environment, learn more about our school, meet with faculty and existing parents. If you are unable to attend one of these events we can arrange a meeting or tour.
2. Initiate Application Process
Once you have decided that Shambhala School is a good fit for your family, download the applicable application and recommendation forms.
Complete and submit the Application Form and supporting documents to Academic Director, Margot Louise at email@example.com.
- Applications forms for Pre-Primary and Primary enrollment should be accompanied by a Student Recommendation Form.
- Application forms for Grade 1 through to Grade 12 enrollment should be accompanied by a Student Recommendation Form and Report Cards for the current year and one previous year.
4. Application Fee
After our initial review of each application, if we can accommodate and support your child, we will ask you to submit the $100 non-refundable application fee and the completed Teacher Recommendation Form.
5. Classroom Visit
Your child is invited to visit the classroom or meet the teacher(s) for an informal assessment. Students in Grades 1 -12 usually join the class for the full day. Pre-Primary and Primary classroom visits are shorter.
Within a week of the classroom visit, the classroom teacher(s) will make a recommendation for acceptance or non-acceptance. We will then notify you of acceptance or non-acceptance.
7. Deposit and Registration
A non-refundable deposit of $500 will be required within two weeks of acceptance to hold the child’s place in class. This amount is non-refundable it the child does not enroll. Upon registration this deposit will be applied towards the Commencement Fee. Tuition arrangements can be made upon registration refer to our schedule of tuition and other fees for additional information.
8. Before and After School Program
If you have are registering a student in Pre-Primary – Grade 5 and are interested in our Before or After School Program please refer to the separate fee schedule. Deadline for enrollment in our Before and After School Program is August 1, 2018, however we welcome early enrollment.
